Who We Are

NAYLA (ny-lah) empowers women of colour to reclaim their voice.

NAYLA is a digital publication and community-driven platform that helps women of colour foster their self-expression.

Created by women of colour for women of colour, NAYLA provides a space to share, learn and heal through resources, stories and community with a space to amplify and celebrate creative expression, access to resources about advocacy, self-worth, and expression, as well as a growing community of like-minded women on their journeys of authenticity and creativity.

Founded by Vaishna Rajakumar, NAYLA started as a publication for journalists and storytellers after she felt there were insufficient resources or platforms for women of colour in these spaces.

This idea evolved after she received mentoring from another Asian woman who led her on a discovery of reigniting her creative voice through inner-child work. This is what inspired NAYLA, and here, we aim to provide a platform for women of colour to rediscover who they are.
